Why We Love Chewable Pen Toppers 

Does your child bite the top of their pencil or crayon? Are they chewing their clothes when doing their homework or tabletop activities? The ARK's Bite Saber® Chewable Pencil Topper is a safe solution for anyone who needs to chew!

Available in four colours, pencil top chewers are designed with a solid chewable end, a hollow end to fit conveniently over standard pencils, and textured for tactile input. These chewable pencil toppers provide an excellent source of oral sensory input and are discreet, disguising themselves as regular pencil erasers. 

Chewy pencil toppers provide children with an outlet for improved calm, focus, and self-regulation in a classroom or home environment. As a bonus, they also provide extra weight to the pencil, increasing hand awareness and promoting correct pencil positioning.

The pencil topper comes with an eraser-less pencil and is available in XXT / Very Firm, also known as 'Xtra, Xtra Tough’. This is the toughest level and still provides “chewability” but is fairly rigid and firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest-lasting level for avid chewers.

How long a chew tool lasts depends on how much and how hard it's chewed, along with other things like jaw strength, stress and anxiety levels, and if different sensory strategies are used. Some children might use the same chew tool for a long time, but those who chew a lot or have strong oral needs might wear it out fast.

Once you have placed an order, and your item is listed as in-stock, we will dispatch within 3 working days. We minimise the amount of paper we send with your order to reduce waste but should you need a copy of your order confirmation, please get in touch with us via email.
Orders received after 2pm on Fridays to Sunday or Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.


Delivery varies depending on what country you are purchasing from.

  • Delivery within the Republic of Ireland costs €5.95
  • Delivery to Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom costs €7.95.
  • Delivery to the rest of the world is dependent on the total weight of your order.
  • All additional customs and charges are the responsibility of the customer.​


Delivery is with An Post and takes approximately 2-3 working days for orders in the Republic of Ireland and 5-7 working days for delivery to Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.
