Learn to cycle, one small win at a time

Whatever stage your child is at on a bike, we start there. Our Learn to Cycle Workshop runs over four weeks in Dublin 15, and instead of just holding the saddle and hoping, we break cycling into the separate skills it's actually made of and build them up one at a time. You stay with your child the whole way, so you know what to practise at home between sessions.

Why parents choose the Learn to Cycle Workshop

Whatever stage your child is at on a bike, we start there. Our Learn to Cycle Workshop runs over four weeks in Dublin 15, and instead of just holding the saddle and hoping, we break cycling into the separate skills it's actually made of and build them up one at a time. You stay with your child the whole way, so you know what to practise at home between sessions.

What we work on

Balance
Holding steady, gliding, and trusting the bike to stay under them.
Pedalling
Getting that first push right, then keeping the pedals turning.
Starting and stopping
Setting off on their own and braking safely when they want to.
Steering and looking ahead
Turning, going around things, and watching where they are headed.
Confidence
Getting back on after a wobble, and knowing a wobble is not a fall.
Staying safe
Helmets, checking the bike, and where it is safe to practise at home.
